next idea... main project...magazine... AUTOPSY... oh yeah...

for the main assignment we are considering the idea of creating a magazine...
for the project we will cover everything from content to imagry to potential advertising and so forth.... for now, i'll note some ideas I have for content...

- splendor on the grass - concert review/ fear and loathing spin...

- random interview - interview with some bizare sub culture icon like an abitiore worker. or a peepshow worker... underworld guy...

-reviews of artists - flickr... find 5 top artists of a particular genre on flickr and get them to write a 50/100 word description of them selves as well as ask them a few random questions...
eg
... what's your favourite food... what did you wanna be when you were a kid... inspiration... blah...

- competition... have a free sticker in the book... people have to stick it in the coolest palce and win a prize...

- fake horoscopes, fake adverts,

- perhaps an on going story for future editions

- perhaps theme each issue...

post prezentation...

I think the presentation went pretty good... we were first so it was perhaps a little unclear if we were on the right track. It went well though. Overall, i felt it was difficult because if it was a real project i would have 6 months worth of work to talk about and 6 months of confidence and surity that the project was actuall really cool and everything rather than a fake project that i had to pretend i knew lots about... apart from that we rocked...

my part of the assignment was to collect images for what i was going to talk about which was sales and marketing really... movie deals, merchandise and so forth...

we had collectively written the script for everyone and grammer checked everything. Ellena made the film and Cathy made the flyer even though idea generation was equal across the group and all individual parts...

so, quick and dirty presentation with a three minute video....
Our group consists of myself, Ellena Linden and Cat Gaunlet...

We are making our presentation on a animation which we are pitching to an unknown broadcasting agency... The animation we are pitching/selling is a pilot episode. The basic plan at the moment is that Cat will introduce our business name and company obective type thing. She will also cover target market/audience. Then we will see a snippet of the pilot...

Then ellena will talk about creating the elements to a certain style... accompanied by a slide show type thing of what the behind the scene character design was like... she will also cover production of viaual and aural elements as to creating a feel appropriate for those aged between 7 and 12 and those young at heart... I think....

Then we will show the end of the pilot which reveals the twist in the story which is the selling point. Each episode will have an equally revealing ending... I will also go on to say where this project can be taken in the future... eg, merchandise, movies, colouring books, story books, collectibles, board games, mini flash games..... educational aspects... During the part where i'm saying this. i'll have examples of merchandise, movies, colouring books, story books, collectibles, board games, mini flash games....



so anyway, thats about it for now.... cool
